Step 1: Choose Your Location
Per USPS regulations, your mailbox should be installed at the right-hand side of the road in the direction of delivery. The bottom of the mailbox door should be 41–45 inches from the road surface.
Step 2: Dig the Post Hole
Dig a hole approximately 18–24 inches deep and 8–10 inches in diameter. The exact dimensions may vary based on your specific mailbox model and local frost line depth.
Step 3: Set the Post
Place your post in the hole and ensure it is perfectly vertical using a level. Pour concrete mix into the hole and allow to cure for 24–48 hours before attaching the mailbox body.
Step 4: Attach the Mailbox
Follow the specific assembly instructions included with your mailbox model. Use all provided hardware and ensure all connections are tight.
Step 5: Install House Numbers
Attach your floating house numbers at the specified height. For LED backlit numbers, follow the electrical connection guide included in your package.
